© 2025 the ARCHIVE of NOW

the ARCHIVE of NOW is a multidisciplinary magazine. It is a platform for dialogue, showcasing work, archiving moments, critiquing systems, and imagining futures. We aim to curate works from a variety of artists, writers, art historians, and architectural designers. We are focused on access and visibility for underseen creatives from the Bay Area who are newly graduated or early in their careers, particularly those from underserved communities (LGBTQ+, POC, Low-income, Immigrants, etc.). Our goal is to bridge people with institutions and resources in the professional world (i.e., art galleries, residencies, architecture firms, and other creative spaces).

the ARCHIVE of NOW serves as more than a showcase; it functions as a designed and curated body of work as well as a catalyst for professional connections. We believe in creating opportunities for contributors to connect with each other and with galleries, collectors, and industry professionals who can provide career-advancing opportunities and long-term collaborations.

FRAMEWORK AND SHAPES: Transforming the Creative Arts Charter School

This project transforms and adds to the original structure of a creative arts school (K-12) in San Fransico. It began with an abstract, formal exercise exploring techniques of seriality and transformation, surface and volume, and framework and shape. It then conducted a series of site visits and interviews with the current 4th-grade students in the school about their needs.

This design created a vibrant composition of geometric shapes following a rigorous grid based on the original structure, which then turns into the perforated facade panel system. The program of the school is divided by the circular outdoor amphitheater, serving as the heart of this creative school. The circular additional spaces are all hosting creative programs, such as music and art rooms.
